Cooking Gas Shortage 2024 Guyana News. Phase ii is expected to build upon the initial success of phase i, which involves the delivery of 50 million standard cubic feet per day (mmscfd) of gas. The guyana government is moving full board ahead with its much criticized and debated gas to energy project which is expected to start delivering by the end of 2024.
The gas to energy project includes a pipeline that will bring associated gas from offshore exxonmobil’s guyana operated liza phase 1 and phase 2 projects to onshore gas. That facility will take natural gas produced in the prolific stabroek block offshore guyana and convert it into cheaper electricity.
